Resolved Question: Why are the gay communities so militant?

Gay activists will be protesting tomorrow in many upstate New York cities. Recently the entered a church in Lansing, MI, and pulled fire alarms, threw fliers at church goers, yelled at parishoners, stormed the pulpit holding up a rainbow flag, and outside they beat on pans, yelling, "Jesus Was A Homo". Gay websites and blogs are filled with threats against Mormons, Catholics, Christians. This new outbreak of militancy seems to be in protest of California's voting against same sex marriage.
